V&A Display: Man Booker Bookbinder Beauties
Yummy! From 22 October 2009 – 21 March 2010 the V&A is displaying bookbindings commissioned for the short-listed Man Booker Prize novels, designed by the Society of Designer Bookbinders, and (soon to be) given to their authors on award night.
I absolutely adore everything about the process of making books – especially the variety of different visual interpretations/summaries artists make of writers’ work. I’m always drawn to new designs and have already bought some graphic beauties for friends and family for Christmas (shhhh!). I don’t judge books by their covers, but I do judge book covers, there’s just so much lovely work out there…
